As part of our healthy homemade lunch campaign, Tom and I bought a bunch of ground turkey. At first I was going to make taco meat, then meatballs, then it was chili. I decided on a taco meat/chili hybird using a chili receipe but not adding all the liquids.

For winging it, it turned out pretty good. Since I made it around dinner time my family wanted it for dinner so we had Turkey Chili Burritos. And for lunches Tom and I will have tukey taco chili over rice.
This receipe is made up but it worked. The trickest part is getting the taco seasoning together if you don’t have a packet.

Turkey Taco Chili

2 lbs ground turkey
taco Seasoning
1 can of corn
1 can of black beans
2 green peppers cut up
1 can of diced tomatos with chiles
1 can of tomato sauce

Cook meat in skillet. Brown meat and add seasoning. Put everything in crock pot for 6 hours on low. Meat is already cooked so crock pot is just for flavoring.
